Vintage/Modern Stratocaster Set
To solve the common complaint about traditional vintage style sets being too bright in the bridge position, I have paired classic vintage style Stratocaster pickups in the neck and middle positions, with a more modern higher output bridge pickup.
The neck and bridge are wound with 42awg formvar to approximately 6.2k and 6.4k for a chimey vintage tone.
The bridge is wound with thinner 43awg formvar to 10.5k, to soften the top-end, and increase the mids and volume to help create a better balance across the three pickups.
All three positions use staggered and bevelled A5 magnets and have that signature Strat "quack" in positions 2 and 4Available with white, black or parchment covers.
As standard these pickups are not wax potted to achieve a more open and detailed sound.
