Modern Telecaster Set
This set is a slight "twist" on my vintage set for a more modern sound.
The neck pickup uses slightly taller than usual AlNiCo 5 magnets, scatter-wound to about 6k with 42awg plain enamel wire, which gives it chimey highs, a clear full bass and a slightly mid-scooped Strat-like tone.
Similar to my Vintage Telecaster bridge pickup, this uses AlNiCo 3 magnets and 42awg plain enamel wire, but is slightly overwound to roughly 9.5k to create a fuller, thicker tone while retaining that classic Telecaster twang.
Designed to blend together perfectly in the middle position, this set gives you versatility with great clarity and string definition.
They use cloth push-back hook up wire, and are reverse wound/reverse polarity for hum-cancelling in the middle position. If buying a single pickup, let me know if you would like a seperate ground wire for the bridge baseplate or neck cover, so you can make sure they have the correct phase to match any other pickup you may have installed.
As standard these pickups are lighty wax potted to allow a more open and detailed sound, but reduce the chances of any unwanted microphonic feedback caused by the cover or baseplate.
