In 1965 Gibson started to standardise the specs of their humbuckers, with the plain enamel wire being replaced with SPN, shorter AlNiCo 5 magnets being introduced, and the windings becoming more consistent - initially known as the the "Pre-T-Top Pat. Number", which would become the "T-Top" from around 1967. 

These are my take on those mid-late 60s humbuckers, wound to 7.5k in both positions, they have a brighter and tighter feel compared to the late 50s humbuckers, which gives them a slightly more "aggressive" feel that really comes alive in a solid mahogany, or semi-hollow body.

Made with 42awg SPN wire, butyrate bobbins*, nickel-silver baseplate, maple spacers and specially selected steel pole-pieces, slugs and keeper bars.

Available uncovered or with nickel, raw nickel, brushed nickel, chrome or gold covers. Bobbin options include double black, zebra, reverse zebra, double cream** or double white.

As standard these pickups are not wax potted to achieve a more open and detailed sound.

*Butyrate bobbins only available as black or cream in 49.2mm pole spacing.
